This 15 A, 6000 rpm, 3.5 maximum hp sander provides high performance under severe applications. As a sander, this tool can be used with a 7 in or 9 in backing pad for removing paint or rust from metal, plastic or fiberglass surfaces. Spiral bevel gears transfer maximum torque for heavy-duty jobs. Spring loaded recessed spindle lock assists in easy accessory changes. Sold as a sander, this tool can be converted to a grinder by purchasing a 7 in or a 9 in guard which is easily attached to the tool. Grinding applications remove more material and may be used to shape metal.
