This FloodSafe® water detector shutoff protects the homeowner from catastrophic damage in the event of a water heater leak by using state of the art water detection technology. It detects the presence of water on the floor beneath the water heater and will automatically shut-off the water supply and power source to the water heater. This 1 in safety valve detector is easily testable and resettable by the contractor or home owner to ensure proper operation. It consists of an integral control unit, a water dam, power supply, power cut-out module with electric 220 V pilot and water detection pad. An optional battery back-up maintains normal usage up to 3 days.
